Salt – the “white gold” – gave the region of Salzburg

its name, and formed a basis for prosperity over the centuries. For more than 4.500 years salt was mined  

from Mt. Dürrnberg, and produced in Hallein until 1989.

In our salt manufactory in Oberalm (close to Hallein) we want to continue this tradition so that you too can benefit from this high quality natural product.
